If you’re like me, you want your kids to fall in love with God’s Word, but sometimes their reading or writing skills make independent study tricky. That’s exactly why I created this Kids Bible Study on Philippians—a 15-page printable PDF that’s perfect for Christian kids ages 8-11. As a homeschool mom, I designed this for my kids, and now I’m so excited to share it with you!

How to Use It

This study is as flexible as it gets. Here’s how it works:

• Print it out – Download the PDF, print the pages, and add them to a binder.
• Set a timer or other goal – I suggest 15 minutes a day for ages 8–11, or one page. But you’ll know what will work best for your students!
• Let kids explore – Kids can read a passage, answer a question or two, and jot down their response. No penalties for right or wrong answers—just an invitation to meditate on Scripture and connect with God.
• Make it fun and interactive – Discuss answers over dinner, pair with journaling, or let kids decorate the margins with art while listening to the current chapter on an audio Bible app prior to answering the questions.

It’s simple enough for kids to use independently but also great for family or class discussions. 

Why I Made This

As a homeschool parent, I know how hard it can be to find resources that meet kids where they’re at. I wanted something that would challenge my kids to think deeply about Scripture without frustrating them. This study is the result of that labor of love—a tool to help kids grow in faith, find comfort in God’s Word, and build courage to seek truth, no matter what.

Suggestions for This Kids Bible Study

Suggested Bible translation: For the best experience with this study, I recommend your child use the New Living Translation.

Suggested age range: 8-11 (or up to about age 13/14 for kids unfamiliar with the Bible)

Suggested completion time: It’s designed to take about 3–5 weeks if done daily, but you can stretch it out as long as you like. Consistency matters more than speed!
