Hey kids!
All you need to successfully use this prayer journal:
- Your Bible
- A pencil
- A heart that is open and listening for God’s voice
The best way to study God’s Word is slowly and thoughtfully. There are no rewards given for speedy work here. But when you thoughtfully study – and then apply what you learn – there is enormous reward.
The reward includes things like:
- A deeper relationship with God
- His peace in your heart
- His wisdom in your mind
There is nothing in the world you could spend your time on that is worth more than your steps toward God.
Each entry in this prayer journal includes a prayer prompt and a space to copy a special verse.
These prayer prompts are intended to spark ideas of things to talk to God about, as you respond to what you have read in the Bible. “Prayer” is having a conversation with God. And just like in a conversation with your mom or a friend, sometimes you talk and sometimes you listen. Writing your prayers and thoughts in this journal is kind of like when you write a letter or email to a long distance friend. It gives you an opportunity to think through what you want to tell them about. The difference is that God is right with you, and you don’t have to wait for a letter or email to come back from Him. He will speak to your heart and mind as you quiet yourself and listen for His voice. Today, and every day.
